The first group of Chinese MBA students arrived smoothly in Spain despite pandemic restrictions. They were welcomed by the former vice president of the University, Joan Masnou Suriñach, and Professor Josep Ayats representing the rector to greet the students.
The students were guided throughout the campus which consists of several buildings in the north of the city center and in the historical center. The university’s director of international relations Ms Mercè Prat organized a short welcome session during which she explained the international strategy of the University of Vic – Central University of Catalunya and how the international relation department supports incoming students.
The Dean of UVic Business School Josep Burgaya and the Vice dean for international relations Montse Corrius welcomed the Chinese students to the business school and guided them through the facilities in which they studied during the following months. A general academic welcome information meeting provided them with valuable information to become familiar with the campus before their official first day of school.
This event gave students the opportunity to meet the university leaders and both scientific and academic advisors. Students were delighted to benefit from the campus tour and discovered what it is like to be a student at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia together with fellow students coming from over 50 countries.
