CEIBA Business School is pleased to announce the opening ceremony of its second class of MBA in Chengdu. The program is jointly delivered in partnership with the University College of Business in Prague. We thank our local partner Asia Pacific Economics and Management Research Center for the organization of the event. The ceremony was held on the 15th of April at the Asia Pacific Economics and Management Research Center in Chengdu and was attended by distinguished guests, faculty members, and the new cohort of MBA students.
During the ceremony, Fangjian Liu, Dean of the Asia Pacific Economics and Management Research Center(Former Executive Dean of the School of Economics, Southwest University of Finance and Economics) delivered a keynote speech, welcoming the new students and highlighting the importance of their participation in the program. “Our MBA program is designed to prepare students to become leaders in today’s global business environment,” said Professor Liu. “With the growing importance of China’s economy, we believe that this program will provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their careers.” He highlighted the importance of continuous learning and development for enterprise managers to stay up-to-date and drive the growth of their companies. Asia Pacific Economics and Management Research Center became a reference for its years of testing and development in this field, showcasing the need for ongoing education. The International MBA program was specifically mentioned as a valuable resource for entrepreneurs, offering systematic theoretical learning, analysis of successful business cases worldwide, and lectures from renowned professors and economists from top institutions. This program helps entrepreneurs develop a deep understanding of the business from various perspectives, develop international perspectives, and stimulate their innovation abilities in the entrepreneurial community.
The ceremony also featured remarks from Dr. Minggao Yang, the Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Economics and Management Research Center, who shared his experiences and insights on China’s current state of business. In his speech, Dr. Yang emphasized the importance of embracing change in today’s interconnected world and continuously improving oneself. He highlighted that the Asia Pacific Economics and Management Research Center, through its integration of global high-quality education and training consulting resources, provides students with the necessary knowledge, networking opportunities, and business skills to succeed. Dr. Yang congratulated the students on their wise choice of pursuing an MBA at the University College of Business in Prague, part of the European business system. Following the speeches, the new MBA students were formally introduced and had the opportunity to meet with faculty members and network with fellow classmates.
Mr. Ren Xiongxi, executive director of Tibet Yongxin SME Service Co., is the class representative of the first cohort of MBA students in Chengdu. He produced a speech to welcome the new students and congratulated them for their choice. He awarded the class flag to Xia Yun, the representative of the second cohort, General Manager of Sichuan Kolod International Trade Co. The class flag is a symbol and a spirit, and this handover represents that the spirit of knowledge of the students will be passed on one after another. She produced a speech to introduce the second class of MBA students in Chengdu which includes diverse professionals from various industries and backgrounds, representing the school’s commitment to creating a dynamic learning environment. “On behalf of the students in this class, I would like to express my highest respect and sincere thanks to all the leaders and teachers who have worked so hard to welcome us. Congratulations to us for starting a brand new journey!”
The program will cover a range of topics, including business strategy, marketing, finance, and leadership, and will provide students with opportunities to engage with real-world business challenges through case studies and other experiential learning activities.
